It's hard to find the words...

...to express sorrow when something happens that's just not fair.

My dear friend's husband passed away from Colon Cancer early this morning. He was 46.

He lived 21 months after he was diagnosed. Those days were very full and fun-filled times with family and friends. He only quit working 2 weeks ago. He was an amazing man and we were blessed to have him as a friend. He will be missed.

It was a beautiful day today. The sky was blue and the clouds were puffy white. Flocks of geese could be heard overhead as they flew South on their journey to warmer winter havens. All the normal things happened... people worked, kids played, lawns got mowed... but now the world has one less really good guy in it. I felt the change and I am profoundly saddened by it.

Cherish each day and live fully without regret. We only get one chance at this life... make it an amazing one.

Hugs,
Dana
